Apparently The Herbed Turkey is still a mystery to some! 🙈
Are you sure I can use it for …? Does it have turkey in it? Will it make my vegetables taste like meat? Is it vegan?
Yep, I originally created it during the holiday season for my turkey, but then I found myself using it well into January for all sorts of things. So now I jokingly call it The Everything & Anything Spice. It is one of the blends that I use the most, because it works in almost every dish. 🙌🏽
This blend of thyme, rosemary, sage, onion, and garlic is a classic combination which creates a savory and earthy flavor that pairs well with a wide range of ingredients. It is vegan, gluten free and additive free. Whether you’re cooking meat, fish, vegetables, grains or legumes, this blend can add depth and complexity to any dish. 😊

It works particularly well with hearty meats and vegetables, but can also be used to enhance the flavor of creamy or tomato based dishes.
I use it on vegetables (think green beans, broccoli, cauliflower and leafy greens), fish (whole fish, filets, pan seared, you name it!), meat and beans. Here’s how I use it most:
Veggies – steam vegetables with the top on, in a tiny bit of water in a frying pan (cut broccoli/cauliflower into florets or trim green beans first). Once al dente, let water evaporate by turning up the heat and removing the lid (removing the lid will also help green veggies from discoloring). Remove from heat and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with The Herbed Turkey. You will be amazed how good this tastes!
Meat – Rub into almost any meat before cooking and cook as usual (especially chicken, lamb and beef).
For a quick, flavorful Bean Salad, drain and rinse tinned beans (Great Northern are my FAVE for salads). Mix with a white balsamic vinegar (or your preferred vinegar), half an onion and half a garlic clove, both finely chopped. Let sit for a bit. Season generously with The Herbed Turkey and mix in extra virgin olive oil and a bunch of halved cherry tomatoes. The leftovers are even better!
